Hanshe & Hanshe will represent you in an action against anyone who has injured you as a result of their
negligence or intentional act. Often these cases arise in the context of a car accident, slip and fall or product

25 years and will work diligently on your behalf to recover the damages you have incurred.

Appellate Practice
No matter what type of case it was at the trial level, and whether we handled that case or not, Hanshe &
Hanshe is currently accepting cases at the appeal stage. We will analyze the record on appeal and discuss with
you what we believe to be your best arguments on appeal, if we feel your matter merits one. Joseph Hanshe
is a member of the New York State County Law Article 18-b Panel of attorneys who are assigned to provide
representation of parties that are appealing criminal verdicts and family court or surrogate’s court matters that
cannot afford to retain an attorney on their own. Gerard Hanshe has worked with him for the last two years
prior to graduating from law school in perfecting these appeals, and has successfully challenged and overturned
judicial decisions at the Appellate Division Second Department. This experience, along with a history of
perfecting retained appeals, provides Hanshe & Hanshe with the knowledge and experience you need to
successfully present your arguments on appeal.

Wills, Trusts & Estate Drafting
Hanshe & Hanshe offers a wide variety of estate planning tools, and will draft for you a last will and testament
along with all other documents that your particular estate plan may require, including trusts, health care
proxies, durable powers of attorney and living wills. We have developed relationships with life insurance
providers and will work with them if necessary to help complete your comprehensive estate plan.

Estate Probate & Administration

assignment has provided Hanshe & Hanshe the experience to handle a wide variety of family law issues. Our
attorneys are sensitive to the issues and needs often encountered in the context of family law case, and will
handle your case with diligence and professionalism to help you resolve your issue satisfactorily.

Business Law
Hanshe & Hanshe is accepting cases in the area of Business law. We will represent shareholders of a
Corporation, partners in a Partnership and members of a Limited Liability Company in any action they may have
against their entity itself or its owners. This may include the enforcement of a provision in their agreement or
the dissolution or liquidation of the business itself. We will also help an existing business to draft contracts and
other necessary legal documents they may need in the context of running their business or forming new
business relationships.

Real Estate Transactions
Hanshe & Hanshe will counsel and guide you in the process from contract to closing whether you are buying or
selling a parcel of residential real estate. We will also assist you in preparing or reviewing either residential or
commercial leases for properties located in Long Island, Manhattan, Queens or Brooklyn. We also handle
landlord landlord-tenant disputes.
There is no charge for a consultation and if retained the fee will be a flat fee for residential real estate
transactions and an hourly rate for all other matters.**
Traffic Violations
Hanshe & Hanshe will accompany you to traffic court if you feel you need representation based upon the
specific offense or your individual driving record. All efforts will be made to plea the charge down to something
you can accept, and if that is not possible we will assist you in pleading your case.

Medical Malpractice
Hanshe & Hanshe PLLC will represent you in an action against a doctor, dentist, nurse or other medical
professional that has injured you as a result of his or her professional negligence. We have a distinct advantage
in the handling of medical malpractice cases, as Joseph Hanshe was the managing attorney and supervisor of
litigation, health care and professional negligence for a Medical Malpractice law firm with offices in Long Island,
New York City, Syracuse and Latham, New York. That firm has represented physicians and hospitals
throughout New York State since 1977. With a Masters degree in the Medical Sciences, State University of
New York medical school training in all the medical sciences, experience in teaching the Medical Sciences at
various New York Universities and Colleges and over 25 years of medical malpractice legal experience, he brings
to Hanshe & Hanshe PLLC something you will rarely find at a law firm…the experience and training in both Law
and the Medical sciences involved in a medical malpractice cause of action.
